HARWICH and Dovercourt’s notorious blue roundabout could be a thing of the past if action is taken to improve its appearance.
The roundabout near Morrisons supermarket has been covered in blue astro-turf since 2010.
However it has been claimed it is unkempt and an embarrassment for the town.
County councillor Ivan Henderson has raised the issue with Essex County Council and made a request the roundabout is instead covered with shrubs.
He said: “This is the first impression of visitors coming into this country. It just looks really bad.”
