National Volunteers’ Week is an important occasion at any time. The Harwich Peninsula has a wonderful record of providing volunteer assistance in so many important ways and our community thrives on the remarkable willingness of local residents to volunteer.
Your local Labour councillors and everyone associated with Harwich Branch Labour Party have always valued the role of volunteers and are particularly aware of how vital volunteer work is to the well being of the Harwich Peninsula as we cope with the additional local requirements and stresses of a global pandemic.
The ability to support the sick, elderly and vulnerable in these difficult times has resulted from there being such a firm foundation of volunteering built in to our local community and we thank and congratulate everyone who offers their time, effort and commitment as a local volunteer.
