There is a lot more to being a councillor than the public sees and Labour led Harwich Town Council has been extremely busy in recent months carrying out reviews of procedures and a restructuring of the council’s committee structure.
Working alongside Conservative colleagues, Labour councillors have brought about a streamlined committee structure which will speed up decision making and have undertaken reviews of the council’s Standing Orders and Procedure Rules, Financial Regulations and Allotment Tenancy Agreement.
With fantastic commitment from the Town Clerk and Assistant Clerk, months of work have been put in behind the scenes to ensure the council’s rules and regulations remain up to date.
