We worked extremely hard throughout the campaign and I believe that the people of West Central ward realise that Harwich needs hard working councillors who are prepared to speak up on the town’s behalf.”
With a majority of over 250 the outcome was decisive with the voters of West Central ward sending a clear message that the people of Harwich believe they are being let down at all levels by the Tories.
Leader of the Labour group on Harwich Town Council, Les Double, says
“Maria worked tirelessly throughout the campaign and she will work tirelessly as a Labour councillor on Harwich Town Council. When you take into consideration this election was fought before the Tory recycling fiasco hit Harwich it could have been even more decisive.”
